Workshop Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend and it is at least 72 hours prior to the workshop, please contact us here with the request and we will refund 100% of your payment or provide credit/voucher toward a future workshop. If it is within 72 hours before the workshop, unfortunately we cannot issue a refund or credit for the registration fee, but can offer a refund for a kit purchased during registration. Agreement with this policy is a required element of the online registration process.
Why? Our workshops require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies and tools, booking staff, and making commitments to pay our instructors -- all based on the number of students who register. When students ask to cancel or reschedule at the last minute, we lose money. As a small business, we are unable to absorb these costs and still keep our class prices low.
In fairness to all of our customers we are unable to make exceptions to our policy, including for reasons of illness or travel. If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend!
Assembly reserves the right to cancel a workshop at any time for reasons such as low registration or inclement weather. In the event Assembly cancels a class, you will be issued a full refund.
Most of our workshops are between 2 and 3 hours and all of the materials, equipment and instruction will be provided.
All workshops are for adults that are 18 or over. We may also be able to include minors that are 16 or older, but please email first with the request.
Each person in attendance needs to be registered, we are currently not able to accommodate unpaid guests for the class.
You should arrive to workshops at least 10 minutes early to get checked in.
In keeping with the social atmosphere of our events, we have a variety of beverages available for purchase to enjoy during class such as coffee, tea, sparkling waters, beer, wine, and cider. Bringing in outside alcohol to drink during class is prohibited.
Some of our projects can get messy or stain clothing. It is a good idea to always wear something you can live with getting damaged. Check the class’s details page for specific advice on what to wear.
Gift Certificates & Class Packs
Gift certificates and Class Packs purchased through the website are delivered via email to recipients within 24-48 hours. The certificate or class voucher may be used toward Assembly workshops, classes, and events, unless otherwise noted. Gift certificates and Class Packs do not expire and all sales are final.
Retail Returns & Exchanges
Unused retail items in their original packaging, including books, kits, and supplies, may be returned for a refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase. Please email first with the request.
Communication and Photography
If you opt in to receive marketing communications from us you consent to the processing of your data to send you such communications, which may include newsletters, blog posts, surveys, and information about new events. We retain a record of your consent. You can choose to no longer receive marketing communications by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org or clicking unsubscribe from a marketing email.
Assembly staff may take photographs or videos of workshop participants, individually or in groups. These photographs or videos may appear in future publications, such as our social media, website, newsletter or other publicity. Attendees consent to having their photograph taken or such videos shown and used for such purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or videotaped, please notify us to that effect.
By registering for any workshop, class, or event, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Assembly Create LLC, its managers, members, employees, contractors, volunteers, and any other people officially connected with the event from and against any and all claims for personal injuries or damages of any kind arising from your participation.
