Paper Quilling Class
Sunday, February 10, 2019
3:00 - 5:00 pm
Class fee: $45
Get your twirl on with paper quilling!
Come learn how to roll, fold, and shape paper to create a three dimensional design through the art of quilling. Working on 5”x7” canvas board, you’ll practice with the tools and then quill paper into a detailed cactus design that will be ready to frame and show off (without pricking any admirers!) After class you’ll be able to apply your new found paper crafting skills to embellish greeting cards, gift tags, wall decor, and more! All necessary materials and equipment will be provided and the quilling tool is yours to take home!
Callie McAuliffe is a native Portlander who found her love of arts and crafts at an early age. After briefly experimenting with many mediums such as acrylic painting, block printing, and watercolors, she finally found her favorite creative outlets. Artist and creator behind Designs Da Lúa, she specializes in paper quilling, pyrography, and string art. Callie loves bright colors and drawing inspiration from the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She has been teaching classes since 2018, and when not teaching arts and crafts, she is teaching students life skills as a school counselor. Craft nights and crafternoons are some of Callie’s favorite things, especially when they bring makers together!
