Ellen Hansen has a love of color, pattern and texture. For the last 35 years, she has marketed products in the interior design industry. Now, after officially retiring from her career, she has launched Mindful Flowers, a creative approach to meditation that is her passion project. Her workshops focus on creativity and personal expression and share a new way of being present with nature. As an avid meditator, she has a full certification with Realization Process, a form of embodied meditation. She also holds an advanced certification for Ikebana and her experience comes from her studies with a leading Sensei in Chicago, Ikka Nakashima. Here in Portland she finds beauty in the natural world; moss forests, old growth trees and the wide variety of floral materials are her inspiration.
