Cyanotype Sun Print Workshop
Saturday, August 10, 2019
Class fee: $45
Discover the unique deep blue beauty of the Cyanotype and join us to print images using the sun!
Cyanotype is a photographic printing process using a light-sensitive formula that produces a cyan colored print when exposed to sunlight...the original 'blueprint'. In this workshop you’ll learn how to mix up the cyanotype matrix of chemicals (don’t worry... it’s safe!), apply it to various materials, and then create an interesting design out of natural materials that will be exposed in silhouette on the prepped surface. All equipment and supplies will be provided.
By the end of class you’ll have made stunning sun prints on paper and a cotton zipper pouch, and be able to teach all your friends about the wonder of Cyanotype!
