Procrastinator's DIY Gift-a-thon // December 16, 2016
On a night that actually felt like winter (as much as Portland can), Assembly students braved the slick roads and made it safely to Northeast Alberta Street where they participated in an evening filled with making and socializing.
Students split into groups and rotated through five “gift stations” where they put their own spin on etched glassware, catnip pillows, lavender sachets, dyed leather coasters, all natural body scrub, and block printed gift wrap. The holiday tunes, snacks, and festive beverages (hello, spiced & spiked apple cider) didn’t hurt either! We hope the recipients of all these gifts enjoyed them as much as those who made them.
A special thanks to Pop-up Shop PDX for graciously hosting us and guest instructors Melissa and Ellen for lending a hand!
