Block Printing Workshop
Saturday, May 6, 2017 -- 11:00am - 1:00 pm
Block printing is one of the most ancient types of printmaking and is an excellent way to make something truly by hand that can also be very easily replicated.
In this hands-on class, you will create your own design and pattern based on basic geometric shapes, carve your block, and explore printing on various materials to make stunning stationery, journals, and dish towels. Take your new block home with you and continue printing on everything in sight!
All necessary materials, equipment, and instruction will be provided.
This workshop is offered in partnership with Atlas Obscura as part of their International Obscura Day 2017. On this day, over 170 events will take place around the world that offer unique experiences that celebrate exploring the hidden wonders of the world. We are excited to be one of them!
