Beginner's Embroidery Class

Have you felt the itch to stitch? Join us for a fun and relaxing hand embroidery workshop!
You’ll learn five basic stitches while working on an exclusive modern floral or night sky pattern (your choice!) designed just for this class. We’ll also discuss hoops, needles, floss, and fabric and some options for finishing and hanging your completed piece. All of the supplies and hands-on instruction necessary will be provided to get you started on your new favorite hobby!

Liz Wright, the founder and Chief Creative Lady of Assembly, is a multi-disciplinary maker with an extensive history of creative projects and pursuits. She considers herself a lifelong learner and enjoys the challenges and thrills of learning a new skill and supporting others to do the same. As the conceptual lead of Assembly, she develops and teaches classes, runs daily operations, and steers the ship towards providing the most fun, accessible, and high quality creative educational experiences around.

Come get creative at Assembly’s new studio in Southeast Portland located right off of Division Street.
Sip and make! The studio has a variety of beverages available for purchase including beer, wine, cider, coffee, tea, and more!
What is the age limit for the event?
Unless otherwise noted, workshops are for those 16 years of age or over.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you are unable to attend and it is at least 72 hours prior to the workshop, please contact us with the request and we will refund 100% of your payment or provide credit towards a future workshop. If it is within 72 hours before the workshop, unfortunately we cannot issue a refund or credit for the class fee- no exceptions.
